Supposedly Extinct Antelope Seen by Stunned Students

On midnight February 1, 2000, four Stirling Unversity ecology students observed a black-fronted duiker. This was much to their surprise, since the deer-like animal was thought to have been extinct from the Aberdare mountain range for two decades.

When they spotted it, the little creature was coming out from behind some bushes.

Professor David Bryant, the expedition leader, noted the impossibility of knowing how many of these duikers survive.
